Alan Hales - Founding Partner

It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that Alan Hales passed away on December 19.

Alan and Joyce Hales started this company when they decided that they had served a long enough apprenticeship in the Asbestos & Insulation industry to enable them to run their own business.

In June 1988, The Asbestos & Insulation Company was formed to enable them to concentrate on doing what they did best for a wonderful group of clients. They continued to grow the business until in 1998 the call of retirement became too strong to resist, so they sold the business to their son & daughter-in-law and retired by the sea!

Retirement gave Alan more time to play badminton, build motor bikes and trikes, do a bit of fishing and be the family handy man. How they ever fit work in is anybody's guess, was a frequently heard phrase.

He will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him. For those that wish to attend to pay their last respects, a service is being held at Eastbourne Crematorium, 12:15 on January 5, 2010.
